Hi Ebob, superb figures!!! I wonder if you can help a newbie to WW2? The German sentries, are they whermacht or Luftwaffe soldiers? If so any idea where I can get uniform pictures and also the 'Berlin' fig is he a 'SS' or again whermacht soldier? I am using the pics from your website to base the colours of POW's but no colour pics of Germans (except Ferrets). Thanks for any help. Gary

All the guards and officers at StalagLuftIII were luftwaffe (at least before the escape) so the german uniform colour is an airforce blue-grey with either red or yellow trim round the shoulder straps and colour badges (yellow for luftwaffe - red for AA gun battalions)
The POWs are all allied airforce officers. However their uniforms are a random mix of all allied uniforms - navy, army, RAF etc This is because all prisoners are first collected in holding camps (Dulags) where they are stripped and showered - clothing is piled in a heap - and then they are ordered to dress (quickly) so they put on what comes to hand. Experienced POWs will realise that choosing a selection of uniform types will aid future escape attempts as the diversity of material is useful to the tailors when constructing civillian copies.
German uniform colour: Luftwaffe uniform blue. Helmets are the same colour but appear slightly darker in tone to the uniforms so add a little black. All straps are black. Is available as acryllic from Valejio. Or simply mix a medium grey and add some blue. Add a little more blue for RAF uniforms.
In the movie the ferrets all dress in black overalls - from photos however some appear to be wearing grey - but could be anything as the photos are all b&w.

Stick with the miniature you're using for now - next release is more likely to be some motorbikes
