A Remake???

Has anyone heard that there are rumors about a remake of the great escape
Heres some info that i found

Rumours have begun that Sony are looking at redoing some of the MGM films that they now own and 'Bazaar' has details on one of the more interesting:

"They're tinkering with the idea of remaking McQueen classic THE GREAT ESCAPE. Financials are being looked at as we speak (long ongoing process). It's being developed by Mark Burnett and Sylvester Stallone.

It'll be the same bag, just a little slicker, but circa 1940's still. They've been discussing the classic motorcycle flight from a squadron of Nazi soldiers. The motorcycle scenes were not in the real-life breakout but were added at McQueen's suggestion because of his own passion for motorcycles.

Sly may play the McQueen part, who with his pals plot an escape from a German P.O.W. camp. Sony's apparently keen to work with Stallone so this might also mean good news for his Rocky film".

no no no no no, and a bit more of a no.

They should just leave it at a classic and not ruin.

Precisely - Stallone is possibly the worst actor of modern times - second only to Arnie. He can only make a complete mess of it.
And, there is nothing to improve upon the original which features practically all the top actors of the day.
What on earth do they think they can improve upon?

It would be a box office flop and I'm confident it'll never get off the ground.

Yeah i rekon everyone here agrees with each other
They would turn it into an action film

I mean first of all if there is a remake and he talks jiberish as in Rocky i will have to assasinate him

I doubt they acctually will make a remake as the publicity that the rumor is getting on all the other sites is much, much worse than anything we've said on here(and lets keep it that way please).

So overall i think they wont make it. ;D

1 it's the american job it's in america 2 it's just taken over by modern stuff which wrecks it. And what happened to the cliff hanger that made the first film?

Look at it whoever makes it it doesn't matter it's obvious they're gonna change the story and they'll be survivors out there who don't want their memories wrecked (the good parts) it'll probably be like Churchill The HollyWood years, which of what I saw showed him as a totally different man!
