I just saw your post on TMP, so I know a bit more about what you do out there. But I'm interested - what nationality of Military personnel are posted in Korea? (appart from Koreans).

Hey,
Well, I know there are many UN forces here in small parts I deal with purly yanks. There are over 30,000 in the ROK and most of those are near me.

That's surprising. I thought that Korea was a completely closed book. My impression of Korea is that it's like Russia was 20 years ago - parnoid, cornered and aggressive.

Naaaa you are thinking of NORTH korea. I am in South KOrea just a few Km from the DMZ.

Oh right! I didnt realise there was still a split! (see how bad my world knowledge is). See now - because you're a Missionary, connected with the Military - and in Korea - I can't get it out my head that you're in a camp like on M*A*S*H - Green tents and jeeps.
